gossiper's question:
Give me more details about the rice terraces in Banaue. Any good for sightseeing?(give a different answer) .
Built about 2000 years ago, the terraces are still maintained as a way of irrigating the area's steep slopes, rising at about 5000 feet. They're carved inside the Cordillera Central mountain range and cover about 4000 square miles. Grab a sweater, a camera and some boots for setting a hike! It's a great opportunity to meet the tribal people in the nearby village of Ifugao!
