Manila’s Hobbit House

Posted 1 year ago by avatar eduardo in response to simonetty's question: Could you please name me a place where me and my mates can hang out for a drink in Manila? (give a different answer) .

You’ll be having some laughs hearing this name, but there is a bar in Manila actually called the Hobbit House, a folk music club owned and run by little people and decorated as a supposed tribute to The Shire (you’ll know if you’re a JRR Tolkien fan). It's quite something though, I mean I’ve been on the road for some time and I haven’t find a second place where you can listen to Filipino bands playing Bob Dylan classics and being served by real hobbits. The place is on A Mabini Street, it is opened until 3 am and you will pay an entry fee of about 100 to 150 peso which includes one drink.

Tags: bar, mid-priced.
