highlander in response to snoper's question:
What to visit in Manila?(give a different answer) .
The church and monastery of San Augustin are probably the most important historical monuments in Manila. Although I was a bit sceptic at the beginning, the monastery proved to be beyond my expectations. You can really feel that you are part of histsory inside that beautifully-painted building. Ever knew it was one of the only ones to survive the battle of Manila? The monastery next door has become a museum that is worth visiting as well(open from 9 am till noon and from 1 to 4 pm)
