In Puerto Princesa I had the chance to find good accommodation at a rather low price. Banwa Art House will amaze you with its vines and bamboo lounges, all placed in a magnificent set( all this for only 300 to 500 peso a night). At Casa Linda Tourist Inn you will spend relaxing moments reading in the small qiosks in the garden(room from 400 to 600 peso a night).
